2 Years and Loving It!
Can I just say I love my Uppercase Living business???? It has been 2 years this month since I first started with the company. Wow how time does fly when you're having fun. In this time I have been so blessed and have been given so many opportunties to step out of my comfort zone - okay be hurled out of my comfort zone is more like it. But it has been great. Here are a few examples of my growth over the last 2 years:
1. Just a few months after I started I was contacted by the Channel 3 news for a story on my business. The film crew came out to our home and filmed and then the next day it aired on the 5:00 p.m. news. (Lauren was in the hospital that day getting her tonsils out and we slept in the hospital that night. By the time I got home I had hundreds of referrals of people wanting decorative expressions. I am still working parties off of that story. What an amazing blessing that was in our lives at the time. We had just returned home from living in Guatemala during our adoption and had spent (a lot of money doing so), Lauren had surgery, Reagan had a small surgery and Troy had major back surgery and was out of work with out pay for over a month. This was all just within a few short months. The news story was a incredible blessing to us financially during that time.
2. Last year around this time I got a call from the Executive Team at Uppercase Living asking if I would be willing to speak at their Annual Convention in Las Vegas at the Paris Hotel. Of course I said yes right away. I had the opportunity to stand in front of hundreds of other demonstrators and share my experience and my love for Uppercase Living and to do some training for 3o minutes. It was so much fun and through it I realized that I love speaking in public settings like that. Of course I prayed a lot and had Troy give me a blessing right before we left our room to go on stage. Thanks to Gena M too for giving me suggestions on how to make my talk the very best it could be. She was a huge help and it blessed me with more confidence.
3. I now have the opportunity of having 53 people on my team. They are all working so hard and I appreciate each and every one of them for the work they put into their businesses.
4. Just in February (last month) they did over $20,000 in sales. I couldn't believe it. What a huge blessing to our family right now as we are still on a very tight budget!
So that's enough of my ramblings for tonight. I can't wait to see what 2008 brings to my business. Thank you Uppercase Living for an incredible opportunity!
