The imagination of a Child...
Today was a great day! I got some Spring cleaning done, Troy went to the DMV and then had to attend traffic school (Yes he got a speeding ticket... He was trying to hurry home from work so that he could watch the kids so I could go to my open house for my Uppercase Living business). Poor guy got pulled over and decided to go to traffic school. He learned a lot and said it was interesting.
Well while he was gone I took the kids to the park with my brother. We spent over 2 hours at the park and it was so fun to watch my kids and see their imaginations going WILD! Lauren found this HUGE rock and decided she was going to adopt it as her pet. She carried this rock all over the park chatting with it and petting it.. She would let it go down the slide and then say oh good boy - you are so good at that. So she wanted to bring her Pet Rock now named Rocky home with us. We were afraid if she dropped it on the tile or even worse on her toe that quite a bit of damage could be done to either. So we talked her into leaving her rock in the green belt as we were on our way home.
She put him down, gave him a good bye kiss and then starting running back and forth across the greenbelt to pick leaves off of a certain tree so her rock would have food to eat while she was gone. She did this for like 20 minutes gathering enough food for her new friend.
I took pictures I'm just too tired to download them tonight. I'll do it hopefully tomorrow.
** Reagan has been doing so well with his sleeping until he got the Screaming Poops a few days ago. He has been really sick to him tummy and now we are getting up in the night again. Hopefully when he feels better all will be resolved again soon.
He was such a sweet little boy today. He kept telling me "I love you to moon and back" and I love you more than the world. Tonight when he was saying his prayers he said Thank you for Mama, Elmo, Dada, Nana and our house. It was so sweet I wanted to cry. He kept going with the things he was thankful for. Aren't kids just the most amazing little people ever. I am amazed each day what a wonderful gift it is to be a parent.
